Terry Dove-Pittman
Terry Dove-Pittman is Principal and Chief Strategist for The Gideon Group, LLC, a consulting organization geared toward the structural and financial sustainability of nonprofit organizations and business start-ups. Terry is a sought-after Speaker, Author, Facilitator and three-time political candidate. In 2015, because of her extensive work with Women and Minority certified businesses, Terry was appointed to the Certifications Appeal Board by Governor Mike Pence.
Professionally, Terry was Authentication Deputy for former Indiana Secretary of State Todd Rokita (2002-2011); in this capacity, she acted on behalf of the State of Indiana as the International Liaison and Special Deputy. Ms. Dove-Pittman authorized many foreign embassies and foreign nationals the ability to be compliant with the international Hague Convention and World Court regulations.
Terry attended Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis where she completed her Paralegal certification; She has also received her Lean Certification from Ivy Tech State College. Ms. Dove-Pittman is also an alumnus of the Indiana Leadership Forum and the Hoosier Congressional Policy Leadership Series.
Terry is an active member of the community who believes in social and economic change for those that for many years have been overlooked and excluded from many facets of society. She is one of the Founding Charter members of the Indiana Black Chamber of Commerce, Executive Committee member of Ascent 121 and Somebody, Inc., Terry is also Board Advisor to the Diversity Leadership Series, Indy Stiletto Network, Inc, Purposeful Living Inc. and Violence Free Living, Inc.
In 2012, Terry married her best friend of 20 years, Delmon Pittman, Sr, and they have two sons Delmon, Jr., and Matthew.
